After 20 years I've fallen in love with the original GT all over again,
and have decided to begin a guide for the game which started it all. This guide works in a similar way to the GT2 Racing Guide:
one math ratio fits all. Some series may also feature logarithmic-style mathematics in the future.
What I really like about the first game is how it requires mastery. Especially for those who limit their parts &
power, this is a game which yes, features AI and drivability which are primitive in comparison to later games of the Gran
Turismo series. But because of this, those of us who are more familiar with the latter games (GT5 through 7) are going to
need to change some habits.
The AI in the first game
has a tendency to be a bit more ruthless, for instance. They don't hold back, and refuse to follow the "gentleman's racing"
habits of GT5, 6, Sport, and 7. On the other hand, they make more mistakes in this game, horrendous mistakes
with cornering which often sends them off-track, or into walls. They get over-passionate and miss braking zones, or turn into
sweepers or hairpins too late.
But from our end, the
rules are different, can we adapt and survive?
