FR Challenge
Description:
Rear-drive cars only, with an engine up front. B License required.
Hard to say if any competition really stands above the rest. The Mazda RX-7 FD series, Nissan Silvias,
and Toyota Supra all trade places in the FRs. Maybe the Toyota Truenos, Corollas, and
Levins are secondary, but not by far.
Parts:
Tires: Semi-Racing. A Hard/Soft combination actually works best with a lot of tail-happy
rear-drives, especially in this game in which many FRs hardly understeer. Hard-Soft can also be a great cure for front-end
grabbing into turns.
Soft-Soft tires can
be reserved for those with closer to neutral handling. Surprisingly, some cars aren't as driveable with a Soft-Soft
combination.
Brakes: Racing (Normal
can be tried for sportiest models) Balancer optional.

Qualifying: Remove five horsepower for each
position above 3rd. A pole-sitting car will start with -10 hp. If power
can't be removed, brakes, suspension, and/or drivetrain parts should be downgraded to default specs.
Race: I find these races much easier than the FF Series!
